چکیده
The optimal placement and sizing of distributed generators is a classical problem in power distribution networks that usually solved using heuristic algorithms due to its high complexity. This paper proposes different approach based on mixed-integer second-order cone programming (MI-SOCP) model ensures the global optimum relaxed optimization model. Second-order (SOCP) has demonstrated be an efficient alternative cope with non-convexity flow equations networks. Of relatively new interest systems community extension MI-SOCP models. proposed approximation. However, numerical validations IEEE 33-bus 69-bus test for unity variable factor confirm finds best solutions reported literature. Being exact technique, allows minimum processing times zero standard deviation, i.e., same guaranteed at each time (a significant advantage comparison metaheuristics). Additionally, load photovoltaic generation curves 69-node system are included demonstrate applicability solve location renewable multi-period formulation. Therefore, also guarantees finding, contrast local achieved nonlinear solvers available GAMS software. All simulations were carried out via MATLAB software CVX package Gurobi solver.

Optimal placement and sizing of distributed generators and shunt capacitors for power loss minimization in radial distribution networks using hybrid heuristic search optimization technique
This paper attempts to minimize power losses in radial distribution networks and facilitates an enhancement in bus voltage profile by determining optimal locations, optimally sized distributed generators and shunt capacitors by hybrid Harmony Search Algorithm approach. To overcome the drawback of premature and slow convergence of Harmony Search Algorithm (HSA) over multi model fitness landscape...
متن کاملA Customer Oriented Approach for Distribution System Reliability Improvement using Optimal Distributed Generation and Switch Placement
The reliability of distribution networks is inherently low due to their radial nature, consequently distribution companies (DisCos) usually seek to improve the system reliability indices with the minimum possible investment cost. This can be known as system-oriented reliability planning (SORP). However, there can exist some customers that are not satisfied by their reliability determined by ado...
